Daktronics of Brookings, South Dakota, has partnered with Mexican company Pantallas Publitronics to provide two new LED video displays for Estadio BBVA Bancomer in Monterrey, Mexico.
The displays are reported to measure 8.41 meters high by 19.02 meters wide and feature 13HD pixel layouts. Daktronics 13HD series are widely deployed in sports facilities due to its ultra-high brightness level and wide angle visibility, the company said. Variable content zoning allows to display either one large image or multiple windows featuring different content, e.g. live video, instant replays, scoring information and statistics, graphics and animations, and sponsorship messages.
Complementing the installation is a digital custom-created content package designed by Daktronics in-house department Creative Services.
The newly constructed facility is the home stadium for C. F. Monterrey also known as Los Rayados - a Mexican football club from Monterrey, Nuevo León. Estadio BBVA Bancomer will be officially opened on 2 of August with C. F. Monterrey playing the eighth edition of S.L. Benfica's Eusébio Cup game.
"We are excited to work with Daktronics to bring a better overall experience to our fans and sponsors for interaction, information and statistics at every event held at Estadio BBVA Bancomer," said Vice President of C.F. Monterrey Tonatiuh Mejía. "We worked with world leaders in every aspect of creating this facility that will be a tourist icon for the city, designed with iconic materials from our states and equipped with the highest audio and video international standards."
