The company announced the launch of 0.9mm TWA LED display having broken 1mm pixel pitch barrier. The new video solution is intended for conference rooms, control rooms or any application in which high quality, close-up viewing is needed.
“As the market leader in fine-pitch LED displays, we continue to push the limits of what can be accomplished in this category,” - said Steve Seminario, vice president of product marketing at Leyard. “The Leyard TWA Series 0.9mm addresses customer demand for using LED even at very close viewing distances, and accomplishes this goal with a highly efficient power design.”
The newly launched product joins the TWA Series line-up of fine-pitch LED video walls available in 1.2, 1.4, 1.8 and 2.5mm pixel pitches. Offering a clear, high-contrast image the TWA LED displays are an energy-efficient solution which, Leyard says, utilizes 35 percent less power than conventional LED displays. According to the press release, the display in a standby mode with a black screen consumes up to 60 percent less power than the most power-efficient LED video wall displays on the market today.
Performed in a “flat panel” design TWA Series displays feature a 16:9 form factor optimized for high-resolution standards. Each display is a self-contained unit with standard HDMI inputs and looping, along with optional redundant configurations. The larger cabinet with 54-inch diagonal saves the time and cost of installation with fewer displays to align and seems to perfect.
The 0.9mm model has been showcased at CEDIA 2016 in Dallas and is already available through Leyard and Planar’s worldwide network of authorized resellers.
