The company announced the launch of a new LED video system designed specifically for the purpose of the concert and live event touring market.
FLEXTour is described as a robust, high-definition and curve-able LED display designed with regard to high demands of production touring. Front or rear serviceable optionally, the display allows to create seamless curves up to 15 degrees for convex and concave installations, the press release says.
“As LED video continues to be highly integrated into live event and concert touring production designs, we are excited to be introducing FLEXTour which addresses the high demands presented by life on the road,” – said Monty Rains, PixelFLEX President. “Understanding the performance capabilities sought after by touring and event designers, we have implemented this high-end solution for their creative video designs.”
The FLEXTour system deploys NovaStar A8s receiving card and Macroblock drivers, which PixelFLEX says, provides for higher image fidelity, grayscale, and flicker-free performance. The components used provide the following functionality:
- high refresh and bit rate that ensures a flicker-free operation and makes the display suitable for television and low light scenarios;
- one click functionality to help restore the display’s tiles to factory settings or use quick map mode to get the display up and running;
- Clearview Technology for the detailed level of video and image playback.
Front or rear serviceable optionally, FLEXTour is available in a variety of configurations as indoor 2.8, 3.9, 4.8, 5.9 and 6.9mm pixel pitch option and outdoor 4.8, 5.9 and 6.9mm pixel pitch option.
