March 10-13, Las Vegas, NV, USA. At the world's largest tradeshow of digital display and interactive technologies, Planar announced the DirectLight LED Video Wall System, which is a family of seamless, ultra-fine pitch direct view LED video walls.
In line with the current tendencies in the LED displays market, Planar DirectLight LED video walls feature narrow pixel pitch which comes in four options - 1.6, 1.9, 2.5 and 3.1 millimeters, offering a flexible solution to fit any viewing distance and budget.
According to Planar’s official statement, the DirectLight LED Video Wall System is primarily designed for demanding 24x7 indoor applications, such as corporate environments and control rooms. Therefore particular attention is paid to gray level control and quality color rendition to ensure excellent performance even at low brightness, the company said. Deep black contrast and wide viewing angles add to superior visual experience.
With the specified depth of 4 inches, the DirectLight modules can be mounted even in the space-constrained environments. The manufacturer guarantees fast and easy alignment with its proprietary mounting system EasyAlign while front-side installation and serviceability make DirectLight LED displays suitable for the most challenging installations.
Presented as the “next wave in the fast-growing direct-view LED market”, DirectLight LED Video Wall System is a significant complement to Planar’s portfolio of professional displays.
“We see tremendous growth potential with indoor LED video walls, and we are leading the way with Planar DirectLight,” said Planar Systems CEO and President Gerry Perkel. “This is the perfect complement to our very successful Clarity Matrix LCD Video Wall System for customers who have been asking for a seamless, high-quality video wall that can meet mission-critical requirements for indoor environments. Planar DirectLight meets that need, further extending our longstanding commitment to video wall innovation and leadership.”
