Pete’s Big TVs rental company provided video equipment for 'Penn & Teller: Fool Us' show including digiLED video panels, Barco projectors and LED curtain by Viss Lighting, the announcement said. The shooting was held at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
Totally 258 modules of digiLED 7 mm pixel pitch panels were implemented. According to Guy Benjamin, VP of the Pete’s Big TVs, 162 panels were used to create an upstage display. Measuring roughly 9.1 m wide by 4.5 m high the display moved apart to be used as an entrance. From other panels was assembled a low 0.9 m high screen that wrapped the stage.
The LED-centric set for the show was created by Anton Goss, creative director at Consortium Studios in Los Angeles. Video content displayed on the giant LED walls included landscapes of the Las Vegas skyline and other imagery related to each act.
“Penn & Teller: Fool Us” features its second season run on the CW Network. Emerging magicians are invited on stage to perform their tricks in front of Penn & Teller magician-comedian duo.
