PixelFLEX-manufactured LED video tunnel welcomed and excited visitors of the FanFest, the biggest interactive baseball theme park in the world. The creative concept was designed by BaAM Productions and MSI Productions using FLEXLite Plus 3.9mm LED video technology.
Positioned beside the entrance to the Miami Beach Convention Center, the LED video tunnel was the first attraction experienced by fans as they entered the FanFest. The tunnel-like experience was created by curved screens standing about 5.7m high by 10.6m wide and a slightly curved ceiling of 9.1m wide and 10.9m deep hanging over the walls.
According to PixelFLEX, the FLEXLite Plus technology is one of the highest resolution curve-able LED displays on the market, which is capable of a 15-degree curve in any direction.
“We first worked with PixelFLEX a few years back, and when I first started speaking with them, it was clear that they had the ability to do almost anything we needed with creative LED video builds,” – said Tom Bollard, Technical Director at MSI Productions. “We have since done several projects with them where we needed an out-of-the-ordinary solution, and they have come through every time. They really seem to understand the nuance of the big project with nothing forgotten and nothing left out. As a technical director, when I am thinking of how we’re going to install such creative solutions, they always have it thought through, and it works.”
